LLM Proxy
CMND is excited to announce the release of LLM Proxy, our latest open-source contribution designed to streamline interactions with Large Language Models (LLMs). Available as an NPM package, LLM Proxy offers developers a unified interface to communicate with various LLM providers, including OpenAI and Anthropic. The solution standardizes input and output formats, enabling developers to interact with different LLMs using consistent request and response structures. This significantly simplifies development processes and allows for seamless integration. One of the standout features of LLM Proxy is its ability to automatically detect the appropriate provider based on the specified model. This intelligent detection system eliminates the complexities of manual configuration, making the integration process more straightforward. Additionally, LLM Proxy supports both streaming and non-streaming responses, offering the flexibility to handle various use cases depending on the application's requirements. Its modular design, built with distinct middleware and service layers, ensures easy customization and scalability, catering to diverse development needs. When a user sends a chat completion request, LLM Proxy processes it through several well-defined steps. First, the user submits a chat request in a unified format. The middleware layer then identifies the appropriate provider, such as OpenAI or Anthropic, and transforms the request into the format expected by that provider. Once this transformation is complete, the service layer routes the request to the appropriate provider-specific service, which handles the actual API communication. Finally, the response is transformed back into the unified format and returned to the user. This streamlined process eliminates the need for multiple integrations and enables businesses to switch between models without having to modify their codebase. By simplifying interactions with LLMs, LLM Proxy enhances development efficiency and operational flexibility. CMND invites developers to explore LLM Proxy and contribute to its ongoing development. The project is open-source and licensed under the MIT License. Developers can access the source code and documentation on GitHub. For those ready to experience the efficiency and flexibility of LLM Proxy, the NPM package is readily available.
